Big girl

I treated myself to a Starbucks this morning and the coffee lady was crying.

Her youngest child started pre-school today and it was hard to let her go.

Today was Offspring's first day of third grade. Yesterday, we looked at pictures of us dropping her off at Kindergarten - a very little girl with a very big backpack, bursting with excitement at the big things to come. We walked her in and into her class and said goodbye there.

This morning, Offspring packed her own lunch and backpack and helped with Bun to get us all out on time. We did the slow drive-by at school, making sure she was ready to hop out of the car quickly. And she was gone.

She's a big girl, now.
